Works Great.
Installation of the filter was very easy. All I needed other than the items supplied was some teflon tape. I did however, install a threeway that I purchased at home depot on my water line so that I did not have to use the line piercing tap that is supplied because my water lines have a layer of braided stainless steel on the outside. I installed the filter under my bathroom sink as this filter is for a hydroponic garden and salt water fish tank. Takes around 12-13 hours to fill my 40 gallon fish tank but I have the flow rerstricted producing around 1 gallon for every 4 gallons of waste water. This way there is plenty of water to wash away waste and hopefully prolong the life of the RO filter. Filter produces 0 PPM water at 6.1 PH from my tap water that is normally around 400-500 PPM at well over 7 PH. Very happy with this product and would reccommend it to others. I use this system for my F/W and S/W aquariums and it does what it says and does it well even on well water. The only real qualms i have, and big ones in my opinion, is the "saddle clamp" needs to go. seriously, get rid of the saddle clamp and give the customer a choice between the garden hose adapter or the faucet adapter. The saddle clamp is just clumsy and will pierce a permanent hole in your water line. The second qualm i have, and possibly the biggest one, is this thing LEAKS BADLY, sure you could use Teflon but we seriously shouldnt be forced to play plumber with teflon tape. it should be ready to go out of the box with no "taping" required. 3 stars because of these things. would have gotten 5 if these werent issues. Does what it's supposed to do
I bought this item to filter water for my 90 gal saltwater aquarium water changes. It does it's job well. My only complaint is that it only filters to 3 ppm per my meter when the filter my friends use filter down to 0 ppm. Works well otherwise.
